In 2006-7, Aviva built two new buildings in Norwich - Willow House and Reed House. LSI Architects commissioned us to install a spectacular large centrepiece in each building - a curved, back lit PhotoGlassWork, 10m x 2.3m - along with other small pieces throughout the buildings. A number of other smaller projects followed, including the creation of an old library in one of the quiet rooms in Willow House. We photographed Durham University's historic library for this project, taking many shots and stitching them together by hand. The result was a spectacularly successful trompe l'oeil: staff walking past the glass-partitioned room stopped in their tracks and had to go right up to touch the wallpaper to check whether it was real! Another project in the Aviva York office used our PhotoWindow product to great effect on glass partitions in the main reception area. Combined with one of our Kinetic Abstract images, the effect is subtle and classy, giving privacy but not blocking light.
Richard Osbourne’s artworks are dramatic and beautiful additions to our two new showpiece buildings in Norwich. They are talking points for staff and visitors and enhance the high quality modern environments. Blue Pearl’s high standards of service from choosing the images to installation made the whole process easeful and simple. We highly recommend them to any company requiring original and contemporary corporate art.
