With a very short deadline and very tight budget, we were commissioned to help transform one of London's principal conference centres (and Government meeting place). Built in the 1980's, the interior was looking somewhat gloomy and drab. Without a budget for a full refurbishment, the installation of 120 pieces of art throughout the building was selected as a cost-effective interim measure. The project used all of our best London images from the previous 6 years and included 4m x 0.9m panoramas, as well as large 2m x 1.2m single pieces. Eight artworks were also specified for the Iraq Inquiry suite.
Our PhotoPanel product was chosen for its value, frameless modern appearance, security and non-reflective satin finish.
After installation, the QEII Conference Centre received far more positive scores for the interior decoration, resulting in a significant increase in repeat conference bookings.
The Summer renovation of The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre has been very much admired and welcomed by clients. The focal points of these improvements are the spectacular images of London produced and photographed by Richard Osbourne. His work has enhanced and refreshed the interior of the Centre, but more importantly the images chosen reflect the prestigious position The QEIICC holds as London’s premiere venue for high impact international meetings.
